“The power of the peace of God”

Today I shall hear the word of God; it is pregnant with the power to transform my life; my faith is increased so that I can move mountains; faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God…

It blows me away when I began to ponder in my mind some of the many promises that God has bestowed on the believer through our relationship with Christ; the benefits of some those promises almost sound to good to be true, today discussing the peace of God is one of those promises that is so awesome its extremely hard to wrap our heads around the advantage we have in any situation if we fully understand & embrace the peace of God!!!

I have God’s peace; and will not except anything less!!!

John 14:27 (Amplified Bible) Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

Peace: immunity from the rage and havoc of conflict; security, safety, prosperity, felicity, (because the peace of God makes and keep me safe and prosperous) It’s the believers calm state of the spirit; assured of perpetual deliverance through Christ, while fearing nothing from any man or thing; being content with our earthly lot, of whatsoever sort that is...

This day remember:

⁷And ^J)">(J)the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will ^K)">(K)guard your hearts and your ^L)">(L)minds in ^M)">(M)Christ Jesus.

⁸Finally, brethren, ^N)">(N)whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

⁹The things you have learned and received and heard and seen ^O)">(O)in me, practice these things, and ^P)">(P)the God of peace will be with you.

What Twitter Means to ME

I feel compelled to write this in thanks to the developers of twitter and all my twitter friends. First I would like to speak on a personal level. Personally I believe twitter has become the single most powerful social network on the web and will remain so. I for one have to be thankful for the way this network motivates me and brings a whole new world to my home office. You see I was a very successful, active business woman for many years, always on the go.


Life has a way of throwing you curves and some quite challenging! My challenge was being stricken with MS (multiple sclerosis) diagnosed in 1986 just as I was starting to peak in life. I was determined with Almighty God's help, my positive attitude, my wealth and all the other great things in my life I would laugh at MS straight on and beat it. After many years of overcoming this with occasional setbacks I paid it little mind until a couple years ago. I landed in a wheel chair and only go out of my house a couple times a year. Too weak.


This is not to make anyone feel sorry for me and I am still believing for a miracle. I have a lot to offer. I recently developed a new business that is going to be a great experience. I do everything online. Go to church online, play pinochle online at club pogo, with a regular partner. I use voice commands for a lot since I'm to weak to type for a long period of time. I can still use my voice so I do take on a client from time to time who needs a life coach. But then Twitter came. A whole new life!


I began slow with twitter and kinda tweaked to a peak and now caught the fever and infected others. I went on a follow binge and they slapped my follow button and I got so sad I cried. lol

I see so many future things that can be done with twitter connections the possibilities are endless.


But one of the important things I believe we should all remember is this is a FREE service and the people who own , created and keep it up and running for our pleasure are under no obligation. What I mean is they are not like God needing to continue this thing to sustain life. They could wake up tomorrow and decide to shut off the servers and take a much needed vacation. Good-bye twitter. Oh how lives would change! So we should be very grateful!


Now I am not stupid or under any delusions that they don't stand to benefit in a big way as well. The owners of twitter speculated, just like I did on commercial property just outside of Disney years ago. They stand to win bigger than I did. Bless them.


Well with all the headaches involved with serving 8 million accounts they deserve to benefit. I am very thankful for their service. The worms and psycho people behind them have challenged the staff of Twitter over a very busy holiday weekend . I'm confident they will work it out. Let's just remember to keep a right attitude when addressing these issues. RememberLBT (life before twiter) and oh happy day LAT.


There is awesome power in numbers and we are over 8 million strong. Just think of it! Together we can overcome almost anything and achieve gret things! Have a Twitterific Day!

Now this is the Living Bible

His name is Bill. He has wild hair, wears a T-shirt with holes in it, jeans, and no shoes. This was literally his wardrobe for his entire four years of college. He is brilliant. Kind of profound and very, very bright. He became a Christian while attending college. Across the street from the campus is a well-dressed, very conservative church. They want to develop a ministry to the students but are not sure how to go about it.

One day Bill decides to go there. He walks in with no shoes, jeans, his T-shirt, and wild hair. The service has already started and so Bill starts down the aisle looking for a seat. The church is completely packed and he can't find a seat. By now, people are really looking a bit uncomfortable, but no one says anything. Bill gets closer and closer and closer to the pulpit, and when he realizes there are no seats, he just squats down right on the carpet.

By now the people are really uptight, and the tension in the air is thick. About this time, the minister realizes that from way at the back of the church, a deacon is slowly making his way toward Bill. Now the deacon is in his eighties, has silver-gray hair, and a three-piece suit. A godly man, very elegant, very dignified, very courtly. He walks with a cane and, as he starts walking toward this boy, everyone is saying to themselves that you can't blame him for what he's going to do. How can you expect a man of his age and of his background to understand some college kid on the floor? It takes a long time for the man to reach the boy. The church is utterly silent except for the clicking of the man's cane.

All eyes are focused on him. You can't even hear anyone breathing. The minister can't even preach the sermon until the deacon does what he has to do. And now they see this elderly man drop his cane on the floor. With great difficulty, he lowers himself and sits down next to Bill and worships with him so he won't be alone.

Everyone chokes up with emotion. When the minister gains control, he says, 'What I'm about to preach, you will never remember. What you have just seen, you will never forget.' 'Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some people will ever read!'

I asked the Lord to bless you as I prayed for you today.
To guide you and protect you as you go along your way....
His love is always with you, His promises are true, And when we give Him all our cares,
You know He will see us through.

These reflections and inspirations are shared here, with friends, to encourage all of us to press on to that high calling that God called each of us to. That calling to Love God, with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. That place He means for each of us to discover what He made us to do for Him in this short life we have on earth.

I personally believe God did me a great miraculous favor at my, what I believe to be my first remembering, of knowing I was called by God. I was only two and a half years old and I was swinging on my swing set, one of my favorite things to do. As I was swinging I heard a loud deep voice calling my name. I still remember it like it was moments ago. He said, “Vickie, I made you to love Me and to tell others I love them. Love Me child. Just love Me. I pondered over the years whether or not it was truly audible and how I just knew it was God and found in studying early childhood development that children cannot tell the difference between reality and vivid dreams or visions until the age of 8 to 10. It matters not to me. I know what I experienced and that is what mattered most. What I experienced was my first and highest spiritual experience to date. Let me explain. You see I experienced the deepest pull on my heart and reins that I ever experienced, ever driving me back to God to seek that powerful overwhelming sense of peace and strength. And for those who wonder what your reins are. Your reins are at the very center of your being. Your reins steer your life. Like cravings do or addictions. Kind of like when you just have to have something like a piece of candy or a drug or sex. Well from that moment on I was addicted to God’s love. The one addiction He wants for us all.

I have spent the rest of my life practicing the presence of God, Seeking ways to stay in His presence and running back to His presence when I’ve fallen down.
This favor He bestowed on me was a gift in that it makes me remember where I need to be when the world drags me about with all of it’s cares and seductions.

We should establish ourselves in a sense of God’s presence, by continually engaging in conversation with Him. Praying without ceasing, meditating on God’s word, getting to know and enjoy Him in our everyday life. We ought to seek our satisfaction only in the fulfilling of His will, whether He leads us by suffering, consolation. Knowing that the way of faith is sufficient to bring us to a high degree of perfection. Considering that even our trials will promote our spiritual advancement.

One of my trials has to taken me through many ups and downs. That trial has been my 23 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. I am ever grateful for coming to know how to reach that spiritual place with God that overcomes the weakening effects of MS. The doctors said in 1986 I would not be able to walk within a year because of the damage the MS had done to my brain and spinal cord. With the power of God working in my life we defied that for over 20 years. I have had to resign to use of a cane and wheel chair part of the time in the last year. Each day when I wake and my brain doesn’t want to remember how to walk or move or tightens into spasms and screams in pain I go to that place with my Lord and He is strong when I am weak and we stand up and get through another day together.
